The Expat Center offers a free Expat Buddy Program, with the goal to give expats a buddy for about 3 months who will help them getting settled in their new environment.
The buddy can take you to a museum, go shopping, cycling etc. and learn you some Dutch as well. The buddy is a local, Dutch person with great knowledge about the town you’re living in and will inform you on basic and daily matters as well.
