Formalities upon arrival
Once you’ve arrived in the Netherlands you need to arrange some important formalities to be able to get settled in properly.
The first point of call for non-EU nationals in the Twente area will be our Expat Welcome Center in Enschede. Here we partnered up with the IND (Immigration Service) so you can smoothly arrange first formalities like registration at the municipality, obtaining your social security number (BSN) and collecting your residence card or have biometrics (photo and fingerprints) taken.
Some nationalities need to take a test on Tuberculosis within 3 months after arrival. Other important steps to be taken are applying for a Digi-D , start insurances and opening a bank account.
